Potter & Vaughn opened its doors at 504 Hampshire in April of 2015. Fourteen months later, business owner Lisa Crocker expanded into an adjoining space, doubling the size of the shop and the merchandise selection, which focuses on the fun, funny and witty as well as the work of local artists and artisans.

The Potter & Vaughn name may ring a bell with locals. A furniture store bearing that name was in business until the early 1970s on Hampshire west of the Washington Theater. "The Potter & Vaughn moniker pays homage to a piece of Quincy's history," says Crocker. "It's a time-honored name that is right at home on Hampshire Street."
